About Delay Lama
Delay Lama is a free VST instrument that AudioNerdz released in 2002: a 3D monk who sings the notes you play while a flag on his stand works as a pad for pitch and vowel. A Glide knob, a Voice knob and an echo fader shape his chant. It became a cult favourite of early-2000s home studios.
This is not a remake: the original Windows plugin runs here, its x86 code translated to WebAssembly, so the monk moves and sings as he did in a music program. Drag across the flag, play him from the computer keyboard or a MIDI keyboard, or open a MIDI file (File > Open, or drop it on the window) and he sings it; the Ode to Joy comes with him. He sings one note at a time, so simple melodies suit him best. Delay Lama opens in its own window on the desktop and keeps singing while you browse the site.
